Dear B-Cinephile,
Thank you for your pledge towards the creation of our tabletop homage to low-budget cinema, Schlock! B-Movie Magnate. Your early support and enthusiasm for this project is sincerely appreciated.
Our campaign is off to a moderately healthy start as we enter the infamous middling period in Kickstarter funding campaigns.
From our past experiences, campaigns will raise their first 30% of funding in the first 48 hours, the next 30% in the middle, and the last 40% in the final 48 hours. We have succeeded with Part 1. This leaves our campaign in that uncertain position of seeing our funding target succeed or fail in the final days. But what kind of b-movie feature would this be without a terrifying, nail-biting finale?
We are confident that with the enthusiasm of backers like yourselves to spread the word, we can meet our funding goal and see the production of the next Pleasant Co. game.
To help stoke the fires of your b-movie board game passion, expect a new update each other day of the campaign, revealing new content and behind the scenes factoids from the history and inspirations behind the game. Grab your popcorn and spread the word!
Additionally, we are always excited to hear what YOU think about the campaign and the product. The joy of Kickstarter (certainly as it was originally intended by independent publishers) is for backers and enthusiasts of the material and theme to have their say about a subject they love. This allows us to squeeze in last minute ideas, and for fans to spot errors or highlight suggestions in the pre-production material. A future update will open the cutting room floor for some extra word suggestions, for which we have specially saved space in the X-pansion.
